San Pedro

We had a fun Sunday...We went to San Pedro....I was trying to buy a dress form and the lady wasn't home (or answering her phone). So, we decided to take a drive up to the Korean Bell. It was gorgeous up there! The skies were blue and the wind was a little blustery, and chilly but it felt so good! (Hot in Torrance and Long Beach!)

Baccaluareate June 13, 2010

They came in as the orchestra played Pomp and Circumstance Op. 39 No. 4 in G by Edward Elgar and then sang the National Athem... and as the words were coming out of my mouth, my eyes started to tear up. I was thinking of patriotic images of soldiers who are fighting for our freedom, and for my daughter to graduate from high school. WHAT a thought! I think I am just being sentimental, but I think I heard people cracking their voices as they were singing, so maybe I wasn't the only one...

Co-Principals Lew Kerns and Sandy Blazer came out and congratulated the Class of 2010. It was a great way to start!

The orchestra played "Over the Rainbow" and I don't think I have heard a better rendition, it was smooth and sweet...!

Theresa Ly, gave a speech on life via facebook..and what picture is on your profile...what will be on your profile next thursday, next week, next year, 5 years, 10 years.....

Candlelight ceremony - Christina Pham, Katelyn Ctvrtlik, Tessa Patel, Toni Marie Koulos, and Rosana Osario. They were having problems lighting the candles, but they finally got them lit.

Blessing of the CLASS of 2010

Dreams

I love my daughter..
I hope she knows that. I am so proud of her. She's been an amazing daughter and she continues to make me proud.
Sometimes, I think the greatest fear is that someday, I will be gone, and she won't remember how I feel about her. I know I don't always tell her how I feel. Maybe someday, she will read this blog and know that there wasn't a moment, day, time, eon that went by that I haven't thought of her...even when I forgot to pick her up at school...It wasn't that I forgot about her, it was that I forgot that she got out early or something like that......
She's going off to college soon. She got accepted to Cal Poly SLO. At least it is in California. I have always encouraged her to do the things that I never did...dream big and hopefully she's going to achieve it. NO matter what she does or career she chooses...I know I will be proud if she's happy with her dreams.
